The short version
Your photos are converted entirely in your own browser. They are never uploaded to our servers, and we never see, store, or access them.
How conversion works
When you convert a HEIC file, the decoding happens locally on your device using WebAssembly (a build of the libheif library). The original HEIC and the resulting JPG never leave your device. This is why the tool also works offline once the page has loaded.
Data we collect
We do not collect your photos. We may use standard, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage (such as page views) and, if we display ads in the future, those ads may use cookies as described by the advertising network. We will update this policy before enabling any advertising.
